Sofia admitted that her upbringing and her families beliefs almost made it too difficult for her to become a movie star. However, Sofia was determined and despite her families objections, she has now proved that she was right to chase her dream.

Vergara explained, “I grew up in Barranquilla, Colombia, in a very traditional Catholic home. My father told me that if I ever did anything artistic, I was going to look like a hooker. I told him, ‘With these huge boobs that I inherited from your mother, I already look like a hooker!’”
Sofia Vergara is set for a very busy 2013. The stunning actress will continue to be seen in the television series Modern Family, as well as appearing in at least four movies this year. Sofia will be seen in the movies Machete Kills, Fading Gigolo and The Smurfs 2, as well as lending her voice to a character in the animated movie Escape from Planet Earth.
