Sofia Vergara and fiance Nick Loeb call it quits, again

Colombian actress and “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara is single again, after separating with American businessman Nick Loeb, her former fiance, for the second time.

The Barranquilla-born bombshell announced on her celebrity social media WhoSay account Friday that she and Loeb had broken-off their engagement.

“Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtfull [sic] drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have desided [sic] to be apart. We have being [sic] having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together and becouse [sic] of my work and now his, its [sic] been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore. We are still very close but we belive [sic] is the best thing for us right now,” wrote Vergara.

The Colombian megastar, who last year brought in more earnings than any female actress in the world, first met her future ex-fiance in 2010 after they were introduced by friends, according to a Fox News article.

Vergara helped nurse Loeb back to health after he broke his pelvis in an automobile accident six months after they met.

The couple broke up two years later, a split that only lasted two months, and they were back together again in July 2012 — just in time to celebrate Sofia’s 40th birthday in Mexico.

However, according to People Magazine, as Vergara’s popularity grew, so did her busy schedule, and that took its toll on their relationship, ultimately breaking apart their engagement.
