Mother saw her son die in an ambulance due to a bad road

Clemencia Villamizar did not imagine that on Tuesday, March 3, she would go through one of the most painful moments of her life. On that day, her 15-year-old son went out riding a bicycle with a friend through the municipality of Santa Barbara, located on the road between Curos and Malaga, in Santander, when they collided with a vehicle in a curve.

The minor never made it alive to Bucaramanga due to the state of the road. He died on the way.

The young man suffered an injury to his left leg, although he was taken immediately to the municipality’s health center, he had to be treated in a higher-level hospital because the injury involved an artery, reported El Tiempo.

Clemencia got into the ambulance with the doctor and two other nurses. They were waiting three and a half hours on the way, because the main road that leads from Malaga to Curos is restricted by a landslide after the heavy rains. They had to take an alternate route, it was a trail, a very narrow path full of mud and stones.

What Clemencia never imagined was that her son was bleeding to death and that he was not going to make it alive to the Bucaramanga metropolitan area alive.
