Grupo Aval, Citibank and Claro Announce Mobile Banking Partnership

To speed up banking in the country, Grupo Aval, Citibank and Claro announced “Transfer”, a financial product that allows banking transactions by phone.

The objective is that more users access financial services from their mobile devices.

The partnership will “revolutionize the way of access to banking services,” and thus contribute to the socioeconomic development of the country, said a statement announcing the product.

In principle Transfer will only be limited to transactions of Banco AV Villas and Citibank customers. No date was given when the other Grupo Aval banks and financial institutions will join in.
