President Juan Manuel Santos on Tuesday regretted the death of his Venezuelan counterpart, Hugo Chávez, to whom he attributed the progress made in the peace process between the government and the rebel Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC.)
“Thanks to his dedication and tireless commitment” progress has been made “in a sound peace process,” Santos said in a televised public statement, Efe reported.
