TODAY COLOMBIA – (Press FNC) Between January and August coffee production amounted to nine million bags, 13% more than the nearly eight million harvested during the same period in 2014.
Colombia, the world’s largest producer of mild washed Arabica coffee, recorded in August a coffee harvest of 1.3 million bags of 60 kilos of coffee, ten percent more than the production achieved in the same month last year.
Meanwhile, so far this year (January-August) coffee production was about nine million bags, up 13% from nearly eight million harvested during the first eight months of 2014.
Consistent with estimates made by coffee association, over the last twelve months (September 2014 to August 2015) Colombia coffee production was 13.2 million bags, nine percent more compared to the 12.1 million harvested in the same period one year-ago.
