BOGOTÁ, Colombia – Colombia and the United States have partnered in the fight against tax evasion.
The countries signed an agreement that allows Colombia’s tax agency (DIAN) and the U.S.’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to exchange information in tax-evasion cases, regardless of the suspect’s nationality.
DIAN said tax evaders cost the Andean nation millions annually.
