COLOMBIA NEWS – Colombia currently has approximately 31,000 teleworkers, according to the country’s ITC ministry.
Also, a total of 4,500 firms in the main urban areas of the country, ie Bogota, Medellin and Cali, have implemented teleworking policies, according to the ministry.
The ITC and the Labour ministry have launched a joint initiative to boost teleworking in the country, mainly in capital Bogota.
Under this initiative, some 630 new job positions for teleworkers were created over the last five months.
