The country is in the containment stage of the epidemic. The CoronApp is a preventive measure to monitor and control the spread of the virus. It will act as a central information source for the spread, prevention, and treatment of COVID-19 in the country.

“The CoronApp-Colombia application will contain preventive measures and will be free for everyone to download,” said Duque. “With this everyone will have information on last-minute issues and also on preventive measures,” he explained.

The app allows users to register friends and family members who can update their health status, as well as provide the latest updates and prevention advice via text message. The app also contains emergency phone numbers for those affected.
