TODAY COLOMBIA – Between August 2014 and July of this year production amounted to 12 million bags of 60 kilos, 12% more than in the period before harvest.
From a statement issued by the Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia:
Up to July 2015 productivity reached 16 sacks per hectare, the second highest in the last fifteen years.
In July, Colombia’s coffee exports grew by 35% and reached 1.2 million bags of 60 kilos.
Coffee production in Colombia, the world’s largest producer of mild washed Arabica coffee, was 13.1 million bags of 60 kilos in the last twelve months, 12% more than the harvest reached in the previous period (August 2013-July 2014).
