TODAY COLOMBIA – Once again, Latinas are the favoured to win the Miss Universe beauty pageant that will take place on December 20 in Las Vegas.
As is common in the competition, Miss Venezuela, Miss Colombia and Miss Puerto Rico are highlighted in the international media. International experts in beauty and fashion say the crown of the “most beautiful woman in the world” will be with a Latina.
It was also in Latin America that objected to the racist statements of the franchise’s former owner, Donald Trump, especially against Mexicans.
Ariadna Gutierrez-Arévalo will be representing Colombia.

Ariadna was born on Christmas Day in 1993. Ariadna is the youngest of five children and is the baby of the house. Her family calls her “Beba,” which is “baby” in Spanish. Ariadna left home after high school to pursue a modeling career. With hard work, determination and perseverance, she was able to achieve success. She currently lives in Bogota with her two cats and a dog.
Ariadna would have loved to meet Princess Diana, as she is one of her idols. For Ariadna, the people’s princess embodies class, elegance, and most of all a heart of gold. She was a princess that touched many people’s lives. Ariadna’s family and friends call her “Cat Lady” because she loves animals, cats in particular, especially her two children, Abril and Gianni.
These cats are Ariadna’s closest pals. Her favorite place in the world is wherever her family is. Ariadna believes home is where the heart is. Her family is her heart and the engine that motivates her day by day.
