KAMAZ to assemble buses in Colombia

This was reported by a company spokesman at the 13th International Motor Show that ended Sunday in Bogota.

The buses are assembled on the basis of chassis, designed specifically for local conditions. The final assembly takes place at the factory “Busscar.”

So far only 16 buses have come off the line, but in early 2013, the company will receive chassis for another 50 buses.

Today, heavy duty models are exported to many areas of the world including Eastern Europe, Latin America, China, the Middle East, and North Africa.

The trucks have won the Dakar Rally a record ten times. KAMAZ is the largest truck producer in Russia and the CIS. The factory produces 93,600 trucks a year (260 trucks a day).Reinforced KAMAZ trucks are used by the Russian army.
